Yo, I was wondering if anyone still needed a copy of Live at Stubb's.
I'm selling off a bunch of cds, due to an upcoming move, and if anyone would like these, throw me an offer over PM or just e-mail me at heywoodhead@yahoo.com. |

Yikes! Click the image for offical concert info and tickets can be found here.
(If you happen by Tel Aviv in the next few days). Just follow the smell of salty ocean air, beaches, tan lotion and stale urine (sorry to say :D) Sababa either way! Ending Israel, again, on a high note (last year was Matishayu my last night here) |

Boker Tov everyonel!!! Its hydrallus here and I'm just finishing up a 3 month stint in Israel. I'm not jewish but I AM lucky that I happened to find the right job at the right time and that a position opened up as a trainer in the Holy Land. Lots has happened and lots of friends have been made who will be missed. I'm so fucking addicted to the food, the language, the locales, oh and also the people and culture. You must see this country in your lifetime.
Anyhow, the perfect ending to my stay here was last night's Matisyahu show at the ICC in Jerusalem. Here is a few pics and there is alot of great video that should be ready by Tuesday or so... Shalom!!!! |

Hey everyone! I just had to join because I saw Matisyahu a mere few hours ago in Carling Academy, Birmingham (UK)! He was awesome. I had lots of fun bopping about. Definitely a rather unforgettable experience :) I took about 70 pictures but here are the best!
P.S. Does anyone know which band was supporting him tonight?! I didn't catch their name, unfortunately. |

Oh, my! I never knew this community existed! I've been a Matisyahu fan for a while, and his music helps influence my faith & my love for Torah. ^^ His music even inspired an article on my kosher cooking blog. ^^ (Shhh about having the album before it was released! I have a friend on the street team!) Speaking of his albums, I've noticed it's VERY hard to find his first album. In case I have to replace my copy, where might be a place to buy it? Also, if it's a temporary copy until you can find your own copy of his first album, I'm willing to share a digital copy with those that ask. Shalom and good shabbos! |

Not to be a jerk, but listening to the likes of King Tubby and Glen Brown recently... as well as http://sky.fm/ 's reggae station, I came to this realization. It isn't bad music.. but probably not anywhere NEAR the best reggae out there. Youth is super duper commercial sounding, not really the groundbreaking stuff I wanted to hear. I don't think he made anything short of what he wanted, but its impossible to block out all outside influence and live up to the hype. Its only ok.
I just want to call recognition for these other artists like Gregory Isaacs, Junior Reid and Israel Vibration. |

I feel very odd makeing a post here seeing as I honestly haven't even looked into this community at all since I joined awhile back. Well, I'm happy to see that there are someother people who like this music, I thought my family was the only one. I'm going to see him tomorrow night in Cincinatti, anyone else going? |

I just saw Matisyahu for the first time last night. After two or three times that I've missed him, I finally got to see a show. He's as amazing, if not more so, live than recorded. The only bad part of the show was the audience singing along out of tune, myself included. It's hard not to sing along with his songs though. Balkan Beat Box opened for Matis. I'd never heard them before then, but they're fairly good. Their music is a little too repetitive (ex. the saxes played some of the same licks on different songs), but still good. |
