Hey all!

Leaving Leeds this morning. Which is very sad. About to pack my computer up. I don't know what my internet will be like. But I will be checking email.

Hope you are all smiling. I have some more updating to do, thanks for being part of my adventure through this diary.

See lots of you really soon!

Love

So the start of last week I went off to Durham for three days. Just the diversion I needed in the wake of everyone leaving, and Leeds feeling Oh so strange.

I video-convo-ed with Mum and Dad and Grannie and Grandad and Alice and Legs this morning! I could hear them! And see them! (they could see me but not hear me). Made me feel weird about going home. Leeds has become a bit of a home, and it will be decidedly odd to leave it next week!

But for now, I'm off to Paris tommorow for 4 days! I am SO excited! So there shall be updating when I get back, hopefully. I know I am so terriblely behind. I'm sorry.

Durham at the start of the week was good fun. Great to meet David again (sober this time). And Durham was beautiful.

The weekend was good fun with friends of Narn's, but hard because Mike had left on Saturday morning.

We've had absoultely GLORIOUS weather this week. Singlet and skirt weather :D. Very nice.

I hope everyone is smiling.

I have a month till I"m home. Freaky!

I should go pack for tommorow.

Love you all!

Last update for Spain. I promise!!! Sorry it has taken SOOO long!

Sorry for the sort of dodgy quality of this update. Madrid wasn't my favourite bit. and I have SO many more photos to put up. So this was just a wrapping up bit.

Love you all

[music |george - holiday (just here for a few days)]

My favourite part of the trip, was hiking in the Sierra Cazorla for two days. These were the two days we didn't have planned when we left for Spain, and I suggested we hike here after reading the Lonely Planet guide on the bus back from Ferrierola (when Pete was feeling icky from the turns). So we booked it through the Youth Hostel Network at the reception in Seville.

Tiny village. Really beautiful - very different from the Alpujarras villages. But still narrow windy streets. The bus was via Jaen and we had to change. Getting there was just through MILE upon MILE of olive trees. Jaen province produces 10% of the worlds olive oil. You can see the immensity of this in some of the photos coming up.

We went to hike. The evening we arrived it had rained on and off all day. The next day it was overcast and cool but didn't rain. We got lost. We were trying to do the Lonely Planet hike up and around Cazorla (17.5km long), and got lost at a wrong turn near the Monastery. So the first day, was still good, just not what we were planning.

The second day (because we cancelled our first night in Madrid ands tayed an extra day - BRILLIANT idea!!) was absolutely stunning. SUnny and warm enough to hike in our tshirts even when we were several km above sealevel.

The highlights were: ~just the amazing scenery~ feeling like we were the only people in the world~seeing some kind of giant birds of prey riding the thermals~meeting a semi-hermitic monk~walking 19km in 8 hours and that achy heavy feeling you get when youfinally sit/lie down.

So, this is going to be VERY image intensive, with (hopefully, because i do like to babble on) just little tags underneath. If you want to know all about the whole path we took and stuff you can read my diary when I get home.

The second part of the previous update. My apologies.

I handed in all three of my 3000 word assignments today!!! I am SO SO SO happy. Thank GOODNESS! Looking forward to hours and hours of sleep tonight. Unusual for the last few days.

And so to celebrate here is an update about Cordoba. Spain seems to be taking forever. Sorry.

I have photos from Scotland soon too.

Love you all!

Narn's Birthday is while everyone is away on Easter holidays, so instead she had a party on Tuesday Night. The theme was 'Fairies, Superheros and anything Make Believe', but if you couldn't manage that any fancy-dress was ok. We had an absolute ball! So much fun, enjoyed ourselves a lot.

Who came? Beth, Dana and I from this flat, all of Narn's flat (obviously), lots of French people, Pete, Emilie, Ryan and Eric (who are other Canadians, friends of Emilie), a bunch of Penn State friends of Mike's. I'm sure I'm forgetting people, but it was a good mix.

My costume? My awesome black dress. Pink and Black FLURO footless tights. Wings which I made myself the night before and decorated with Narn that afternoon while we made hers as well. Fluro pink tights and coathangers, with gold-glitter hair-spray and stars. Two dangly hair things for my pigtails. A black ribboon choker necklace with stars stuck on. And a wand made from a pencil and feathers. Narn and I had SO much fun finding bits and pieces for our costumes. Really lots of fun on Tueday. Beth did all our make-ups.

So, instead of a coherent narrative, I offer you

[music |Le Tigre -Hot Topic]

Snow on Sunday! Was wicked fun. Meant I had another excuse to procrastinate on the assignment-of-doom.

Mike challenged me to a snowball fight (by throwing them at my window). But he was off to try and find his coat and room keys (he'd slept in the hallway, and I'd asked Paul to lend him a jacket so he could trek around the Pubs and try and find it). So I got Beth all excited about a snowball fight, and he was gone when we got out. So instead Beth and Elaine (from F13) and I had a snowball fight, and made a scary snow witch.

I twirled (glopoi) in the snow. It was heaps of fun. But clumsy because I couldn't do it with gloves/my coat so my fingers were really cold.

Beth and I went inside (I'd only put on ankle socks in my hurry to pelt Mike with snowballs). And then Mike came back. So Beth had already gone off to shower, so I went back out and we had a vicious snowball fight involving much smushing of snow into faces and trying to trip each other.

Lots of people were out in it. Some people from G Block had made a massive one called Bert with potato buttons and a carrot nose. He looked very cool.

After the fight we came inside. Quite wet. Warm from the exercise, but with cold noses and toes. Mike was making snowballs without gloves so his hands were all red. I made hot chocolate for Beth and MIke and I. Yum! Looked a bit bedraggled. Especially when the snow started to melt on me in the warm.

So yes. On to the pictures (Here you go Alice!)
