The Japanese company Terra Drone Corporation is investing in the Ukrainian developer Amazing Drones. The goal of this strategic agreement is to develop and scale up the mass production of interceptor drones.

This was announced at a press conference held by Terra Drone and Amazing Drones, which was also attended by a representative of Militarnyi.

The agreement will be implemented through the subsidiary Terra Inspectioneering. The parties are not disclosing the exact amount of the investment. The systems will be developed within Ukraine until exports are officially permitted.

Ukrainian interceptor drones can cover distances of up to 32 km and reaching speeds of up to 300 km/h. These figures significantly exceed the speed of Shahed-type drones, which is about 200 km/h.

Amazing Drones’ aircraft are equipped with electric motors and are distinguished by low noise levels and a low thermal signature. Flight time is 15 minutes, during which a single device can monitor the airspace, detect, and neutralize a target.

The main technological goal of Ukrainian developers at present is to achieve full autonomy of the systems. Engineers are working on implementing automatic launch, the drone’s independent approach to the target, and the direct destruction of the object.

“What is very important for us right now is to expand our technological capabilities, improve our products, and bring them to the stage we are aiming for: specifically, automatic launch, targeting, and, accordingly, destruction,” a representative of Amazing Drones shared.

The Ukrainian company will use the funds raised to hire new specialists, conduct production tests, and deliver drones to units for testing. The manufacturer also plans to improve the speed, maneuverability, and combat payload of the drones.

The estimated cost of one such system will be $2,000–$3,000. This price includes a ground station with integrated additional features for effective control.

Terra Drone Corporation is an international technology company headquartered in Japan and one of the world leaders in unmanned technology.

Amazing Drones is a Ukrainian manufacturer of FPV drones and UAV interceptors, including the HUMMEL and SkyRider.
