Quantum Systems Prepares First Twister Drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Quantum Systems is beginning production in Ukraine of the first Twister drone prototypes for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

This was announced by Alexander Berezhny, Managing Director of Quantum Systems in Ukraine, in an interview with Militarnyi.

The Twister drone has not yet undergone testing by the Defense Forces.

“The active phase of the Twister’s combat deployment will begin in the near future,” Berezhny noted.

The company is also ready to scale up this production to meet the needs of Ukrainian customers.

The Twister is well-suited for missions requiring a compact tactical reconnaissance drone.

It is small in size and does not require catapults or other launch systems thanks to its ability to take off and land vertically.

It weighs only 3.8 kg, and its dimensions allow the drone to be transported in a compact case.

According to the developers, the drone’s range is up to 15 kilometers, within which it can operate for up to 90 minutes. Deployment time to combat readiness is just 2 minutes.

In its base version, the Twister is equipped with a Nighthawk2 optical module featuring day and thermal imaging channels.

At the same time, if necessary, the module can be replaced in the field without significant modification to the UAV’s structure.

Another option is the ability to relay signals to extend the range of other Quantum Systems drones, including the Vector drones widely used by the Ukrainian military.
