Russian Soldier Directed Strikes on His Own Unit, Up to 150 Killed in 102nd Regiment

A Russian soldier who served in the 102nd Motor Rifle Regiment of the 150th Division reportedly passed the coordinates of his own unit to the Ukrainian side.

In interviews with Dmytro “Apostol” Karpenko, he shared that the strikes resulted in up to 150 killed and about 50 wounded.

The soldier, a 19-year-old from Novosibirsk, had been conscripted for mandatory service despite being enrolled at a university.

He later signed a contract, expecting to be sent for warrant officer training. Instead, he was deployed to a combat zone.

Initially, he served with the 150th Motor Rifle Division in Novocherkassk.

Later, he was transferred to the 102nd Motor Rifle Regiment, to the 2nd Motor Rifle Battalion.

In the unit, he was assigned as a UAV operator without proper training.

The unit operated in the direction of Sofiivka and Volodymyrivka.

During this period, the serviceman established contact with the Ukrainian side through the “I Want to Live” project. However, he intended to harm the Russian military, and they advised him to contact “Apostol” as part of a program to leak information about the Russian Armed Forces.

For approximately 80 days, he passed on coordinates of positions, equipment, and movement routes of units from the 102nd Regiment.

The information was transmitted almost in real time, with a delay of about 10–15 minutes.

According to his data, at least two tanks were destroyed, and a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) was struck.

Four UAV crews and four mortar crews were also neutralized.

The total losses are estimated at around 150 killed and about 50 wounded.

The data he provided enabled disruption of troop movements even after routes were changed.

The Russian command repeatedly altered the direction of movement, but the new routes also came under attack.

Despite suspicions of an information leak, the source could not be identified.

Meanwhile, the serviceman served as a UAV operator, logging around 1,200 flight hours.

The work was carried out under difficult conditions, including low temperatures and limited supplies.

According to him, units of Russia’s 150th Motor Rifle Division used so-called “meat assault” tactics.

After several attempts, he made his way to Ukrainian positions.

The soldier covered around 20 km in difficult conditions, after which Ukrainian forces extracted him.

After crossing over, he confirmed his intention to continue serving on Ukraine’s side in the Russian Volunteer Corps.
