The new Ukrainian STRILA-2 interceptor drone will be equipped with a rocket booster similar to the one used on the German Jäger.
Oleksandr Berezhnyi, managing director of Quantum Systems Ukraine, told Militarnyi about this.
This became possible following investments by the German company in the domestic unmanned systems manufacturer WIY Drones, which currently produces STRILA drones.
During the development of the new interceptor, the developers will incorporate technologies owned by the German manufacturer.
This specifically concerns the possibility of integrating a small solid-fuel rocket booster onto the STRILA-2, which is used on the latest Jäger interceptor drone from Quantum Systems.
The booster is designed to rapidly elevate the German drone to an altitude of several kilometers.

Additionally, as part of the collaboration, the developers of this drone will receive artificial intelligence solutions from WIY Drones, which Quantum Systems uses in its UAVs.
Quantum Systems recently received an order to supply 15,000 STRILA interceptor drones to the National Guard of Ukraine, funded by the German government.

The STRILA interceptor drone was specifically designed to engage air targets such as Shahed drones, high-speed reconnaissance aircraft, and other unmanned aerial vehicles currently being used by Russia in the war against Ukraine.
