"This is much improved. However, I would prefer if the icons were on the left. Then when the recipe book is opened the effects appear as tabs above the recipe search area.

"They'd move depending on if the recipe book is open, and I really don't think UI should shift positions if we can help it. Left side has recipe book, why can't the right side have effects?
