A water trap I built in minecraft, which I have found to be verry effective and low resource. can be done in 2-3 days, but the pit only take 1 to dig. Basically, the water squares that you can see (placed with buckets) pull the mob or player under the tiles. beneath the tiles is also filled with water squares, also placed with a bucket, that fill to the top. This trap can kill spiders. I modified this from a pit originally designed to inflict fall damage, but I had a problem with Creepers getting stuck, and I couldn't dig deeper because I tunneled under it. So I did this.
