Minecraft Wiki:Translations

This page is about translation projects of the Minecraft Wiki. While there already exist Minecraft Wikis in some languages, for starting a new language wiki, it first begins as a translation project on the English wiki. Once this project is sufficiently complete, it can be moved to a new separate wiki according to the new wiki policy.

This input box allows you to start a new translation project!

• Name translated articles, project pages, and help pages like this: MCW:Projects/lang translation/NAMESPACE:PAGENAME
• Name translated modules and categories like this: NAMESPACE:lang translation/PAGENAME
• Translated templates can be named either way, but should be consistent within a specific translation.
• Category links should be removed and optionally replaced with uses of {{lcl}} (translate the category name).

Once the translation is sufficiently complete, a new wiki may be created according to the according to the new wiki policy. All translation project pages are then imported to the new wiki.
