For the inline version, see Template:Plnd.

This template is used to mark a planned feature page. For a page to be a planned feature the feature must follow all of the following conditions:

  • It must have been mentioned and confirmed by Mojang Studios with a screenshot.
  • It must not have appeared in a development version.
  • Notes:
    • A feature can be in development in one edition and in another one.
    • A feature not explicitly shown for Bedrock Edition or Java Edition is considered as both, though it has to be confirmed for Minecraft Education.

Numerical parameters

[edit source]

The 1 parameter specifies what game or edition the feature is planned for. For example:

{{|java}} displays this:

This article describes a feature planned for Java Edition.[citation needed]

It has not appeared in any development versions yet, but is planned to be included in a future update.

The 2 parameter specifies the 2nd game or edition the feature is planned for. Must be used alongside 1. For example:

{{|je|be}} displays this:

This article describes a feature planned for Java Edition and Bedrock Edition.[citation needed]

It has not appeared in any development versions yet, but is planned to be included in a future update.

The 3 parameter specifies what version the feature will be added in. Must be used alongside 1. For example:

{{|bedrock||1.17.0}} displays this:

This article describes a feature planned for Bedrock Edition.[citation needed]

It has not appeared in any development versions yet, but is planned to be included in Bedrock Edition 1.17.0.

The 4 parameter specifies the version for the 2nd edition the feature will be added in. Must be used alongside 1, 2, and 3. For example:

{{|edu|be|1.14.31|1.14.0}} displays this:

This article describes a feature planned for Minecraft Education and Bedrock Edition.[citation needed]

It has not appeared in any development versions yet, but is planned to be included in Minecraft Education 1.14.31 and Bedrock Edition 1.14.0.

Please note that 1 and 2 use {{el}}, meaning that values like java or be are allowed, but values like Java Edition or Bedrock Editon are not.

Using drop, it's possible to specify the drop/update which the feature is planned for. This can, but does not have to, be used together with the edition parameters 1 and 2.

{{|drop=Chase the Skies}} displays this:

This article describes a planned feature.[citation needed]

It has not appeared in any development versions yet, but is planned to be included in Chase the Skies.

{{|je|drop=Chase the Skies}} displays this:

This article describes a feature planned for Java Edition.[citation needed]

It has not appeared in any development versions yet, but is planned to be included in Chase the Skies.

Citations

[edit source]

To add a citation, use cite. If not set, this template automatically uses {{citation needed}}. Use cite=none to not show any citation at all.

{{|cite=<ref>some random youtube video</ref>}} displays this:

This article describes a planned feature.[1]

It has not appeared in any development versions yet, but is planned to be included in a future update.
  1. some random youtube video

{{|cite=none}} displays this:

This article describes a planned feature.

It has not appeared in any development versions yet, but is planned to be included in a future update.

Section

[edit source]

The section parameter changes the template style to a section one. For example:

{{|section=1}} displays this:

This section describes a planned feature.[citation needed]

It has not appeared in any development versions yet, but is planned to be included in a future update.
