Block quote
Hello everyone who has found this page by hitting the "random page" button, this is my page of epicness, and I am mainly going to talk about my new ideas for minecraft.
This is my first idea for a new block in minecraft. It is the Smelter. Upon right-clicking you will be sent to a menu with four spaces. If you put an object you crafted into one, it will soon become the materials you used to craft it, so you can use them for something else. It is crafted by;
My idea on how I will look is it will the iconic dispenser face, but on all sides, (not top or bottom though) as with the four inventory slots for menu.
I have a new idea for the smelter's interface, instead of being the four slots, it has one slot on the left side, and a three-by-three crafting table-esc on the right, where the blocks that were used to make the item that you smelted are in the exact same pattern as they are for crafting. Smelting does not require fuel like furnaces, but do take 10sec to smelt an object.
This, I think is my/my friends greatest idea for minecraft ever. What is it? You may ask? Well the answer is the liquid that should be in minecraft because we depend on it so much in the real world. Oil. Yes, Oil. [note, words in italics are ideas designed by my friend who got me the idea for oil.] Oil will be found at/slightly above gold level, and will be found in caves around iron and coal most of the time. They can be in springs or in lakes, and will always have Limestone around them. Limestone is a very weak version of stone that can be used for tools, but I'll get to that later. Oil only travels three blocks when flowing, similar to lava, but when the source block is taken, instead of disappearing, the remaining oil will try to create more sources, depending on it's surroundings. It can be used like water to create infinite sources. You can pick it up with a bucket and place it, as you would think, and place it, and craft with it more different things. Also, drowning in oil with cover you screen black as if you were suffocating, and your air bubble bar that appears in water will not appear, and you will go straight to losing health. when crafting with oil, you must first put it in a freezer to make an oil block, and to separate it from the bucket. Freezers are made from;
Freezers need a redstone pathway to be powered, and has a single square in the left side of the interface, and another on the right. using them, you can turn water into ice, oil buckets into oil blocks, liquid plastic buckets into plastic ingots, and lava straight into Obsidian. Speaking of PLastic, if you put an Oil Bucket (not block) into a furnace, you will get a liquid plastic bucket, which can then be frozen into a plastic "ingot." which has many uses for crafting.
Here are some more crafting ideas that involve Oil;
