Flint Steel can be used for many things such as building fireplaces and killing Creepers,Zombies,Skeletons,Zombie Pigs and Spiders on (Multiplayer and Single Player) you can burn a monster and it will last 20 seconds until it will die and if you hit the monster while it is burning it will decrease the time limit and will kill it faster.

To make a fireplaces you will need the following items Netherrack,Flint Steel and Stone then you simply start to dig 2 holes on grass or inside of your house. Then you place the Netherrack on the 2 holes and then you place Flint Steel on the netherrack and you have finished the fire section then you place stone in a rectangle shape. Then you place another 2 stone bricks on the back 2 stones you placed. then you place glass windows in the front two stone bricks. Now you have a fireplace.
