This show really pulls you in, and there are so many thoughtful moments that I just didn't expect from a slice of life show. I watched the first season and thought wow, it's gonna be really hard to top this and how they blended comedy and more deep, intense moments so well. But wow, this season really leaned into more of those deep, intense moments. And while the comedy of the first season was great, I honestly loved the change in this season. a great, loving character that it makes you want to support him no matter what, and though all characters have flaws, you can tell Mob is genuinely pure of heart and loves everyone around him. It makes you want to love him too, and I need that in a main character. This show is so great, I would recommend it to anyone, and for those coming from season 1 I promise it only gets better.

The entire second season is literally carried by the fact that our previously plain water main character has obtained carbonation and is now spicy. I disliked season 1 but I had nothing better to do and this series was well-received so I thought I might as well finish S2. That being said, I do quite like Mob's growth arc. The writer at the time claimed he 'wanted to main something kind' - this was indeed achieved. Mob's insistence that people can change actually got through my blackened, shriveled, cynical misanthrope's shell. I also appreciate how rather than trying some horrific mash-up of slice of life

and a plot, they just went straight with a plot instead. Although, the simplicity of 'here's a narcissistic bad guy who wants to take over the world' is a little dull. For this, I rate this anime a 6. If they had more creative enemies I might have considered a 7.

This show is, you know, bad. Not gonna spend a lot of time talking about this, I'll try to sum up why it fail in comparison to the first season:
1. Everyone is OP. A lot of the supporting cast and antagonists are as powerful or even more than mob, breaking the premise upon which the first season was built.
2. It's not fun. Season one was fun and didn't take itself seriously. This one tries to be more mature and cuts down on the amount of jokes, it didn't work well. The jokes that do show up come out of place or are too predictable,

like reigen's foolish techniques, they overused this device in the first season and when it came up on the second I totally knew what was going to happen
3. All fights are between OP characters that destroy the whole scenario around, boring...
Nah, I wasted my time watching this.
