Kenshirou Midou is a popular student who harbors a secret: despite being a boy, he has always loved the art of cosmetics. Because of his efforts to keep this low profile, only his sisters and Hiura Mihate, a childhood friend, know his hidden obsession. Apart from his siblings, Hiura is Kenshirou's only hope at realizing his potential.
Kenshirou begs Hiura to let him practice applying makeup on him, and when Hiura finally succumbs to his request, the drastic transformation shocks Kenshirou. From the appearance of a dull, slender boy to a charming petite girl, Hiura's new look evokes something in Kenshirou.
On the other hand, Hiura has had feelings for Kenshirou long before his dramatic change. Often watching from the sidelines, Hiura thinks that a romantic relationship with him is beyond his reach. But with the revelation of Kenshirou's unusual hobby, Hiura remains optimistic and decides to devote himself to his friend's passion. As their affection for one another intensifies, the pair slowly develops an unbreakable bond.

This is super cute and cotton candy sweet. I recommend this for a quick fix of sugar you sometimes need.
Obviously itโs a high school romance so if you are annoyed by some of the cliche staples of the genre you will have to just bear it for some chapters like I did. In my opinion it was worth it. Honestly they are the only reason this isnโt a 10 so if you are really into them then this will be perfect for you.
Otherwise the the romance is believable, and makes sense. They act like how I expect people in that situation to act. Itโs
...
not overly anything itโs just what I believe this would realistically look like with these great characters.

As usual, I'm going to try make a review as objective as possible, but! I want to tell everyone reading here to take note of some important parts of this story that they really "accentuated" in a word I guess.
1. The "FMC" is a boy, yes there is a whole controversy(apparently) about him, but I'm going to just say my (mostly subjective) opinion about it. It's weird. Seeing such a topic(gender/sex) being discussed so openly. I usually go out of my way to avoid them because I really would not waste my time on it, but my opinion on it is that I hate people
...
who stereotypically take that, sort of received idea where they just make it their whole personality.
Anyways, TL;DR is that, Author is trying to emphasize that it's OK to tell people near you(ones you can trust ofc), and the experiences of (arguably) a gay person who loves a bisexual guy and how they think it would play out.
2. This is in a really best scenario type thing honestly. The setting is all conveniently set up where they are just allowed to cross-dress and use make-up in school(Well, at least I'm not allowed to do such "gyaru/gal-type" things in my school. Won't talk about his parents opinion because it's conveniently glanced over and I could go on and on about how isolated he was in the first place to even think like that.
3. I'm adding this as a post-writing sort of thing, but the author's writing is... realistic? in a word? It's openly talking about the author's opinions and all that stuff about crossdressing, I'm pretty bad at expressing my love for stuff so just read it! (Even if my review is going to be pretty pessimistic from here on out, sorry... )
TL;DR it's best case scenario, don't try at home kids!
___________
Maybe spoiler stuff here so don't read if you don't want to get spoiled(up until chapter 55, yes i'm going to finish this without sleep yes it's 1am and today is a school sports festival but whatever I'll go strong and bring back the win)
Skip to the end if you just want to read my TL;DR opinion
___________
1. I HATE how they played out Yoimachi and Ginnojou's relationship. Absolutely horrible. They could've done so much more, it's so wasted(IN MY OPINION OK IDM IF YOU BASH ME) btw idk if Ginnojou is his family or given name, sorry if it's his given name.
2. As I said in my earlier part about their parents, why would you ever just skip the part about him admitting to his parents? They did well in the other parts of the story, just personally I guess, Mihate admitting it should be the most impactful part of the story. Sure you can argue that the parents were busy, but It feels sort of... half-done you know?
2.1. Same with Yoimachi's character, currently in chap 56, Ginnojou and Yoimachi have this like-like relationship and it's nice and all, but why would you tease it after making Yoimachi look like an absolute bitch for rejecting Ginnojou a whole 26 times? Leave the girl alone... Anyways I hate both of these.
Yes I found this manga from a pinterest post and a youtube shitpost but even before that I saw it on mangarock even back then so my hopes were higher than necessary
_____
BUT!! / Overall TL;DR
Absolutely magnificent art and Phenomenal writing by the author. They write(what looks like) helpful makeup tips and general how-to-look better tricks in the earlier parts and focused on the romance on the latter half. A bit sad I'm lowering it, but it's still an 8 from me.
That's all cya, thanks for reading this redundant opinion of mine that probably lowered your expectation of the manga.
I'm finishing it until the last chap tho lol

Editing because I forgot to warn, this is a BL manga so just skip it if you have the ick for stuff like that, it's really hard to see if it's BL because well.. yes.
