Synopsis

Two college students with a shared dream and opposite paths collide–will their ambitions bring them together or pull them apart? Haruka has abandoned her dreams of the theater, but finds herself still haunted by memories. Very cute story overall, I enjoyed reading it quite a bit. The two main characters have such an adorable dynamic and their relationship progresses quite fast. The side characters are fun as well and meaningfully contribute to the story.
The art is really nice as well and the entire thing is in full color! I love the cute little animal-personality-chibis the author likes to put in this and her current serialization.
The main conflict of the plot is pretty silly though. Like, when one of the main characters big hangups about their relationship gets revealed in volume 3, I actually had to laugh out loud. It all ... gets treated with much more gravity than it probably needs to be.
I’m still recommending it in spite of that, it’s cute, wholesome gl that doesn’t beat around the bush and I like it for what it is.

Preliminary (18/20 eps)
This Manga was absolutely beautiful, witnessing the interactions of the characters and their interwoven life stories and dreams was just brilliant. The art is just stunning ...And it's in full colour too!
Kimi ni Tsumugu Bouhaku is a short, but very rewarding journey. One that I was privileged enough to traverse with Haruka and Nao-chan.

If you're looking for a quick, fun read that has genuine story telling and character development, this is the manga for you.
The characters learn what it means to truly love someone else, and they also learn how scary it can be to love someone so strongly. Haruka and Nao's relationship is ... just so cute and its just wonderful to follow and support them.
The manga is really inspiring and just radiates feel-good vibes.
Really beautiful ending.

No reviews? Geez. Y'all are missing out on the good stuff again.

I love how casual the mangaka keeps most of the things. Love confession? Pff, easy. First kiss? No big deal. First time sleeping together? Nothing.
I mean, the characters do get nervous still and blush a lot, and it's also not completely meaningless, but definitely toned down very much, compared to almost every other romance story. It just shows how comfortable the characters are together and that's what you want to have in a romantic/sexual relationship, no?
I also love how supportive everyone is. Not just with their relationship, but also with the dreams that each ... character has. It's extremely common in such stories for characters to always be jealous and envious, but not here. (Of course some background characters have problems with the MCs, but all the important characters don't.) It's so healthy and refreshing.

Also, it's incredible, how every page, every panel is in color! Mangas are already difficult enough to draw and take so much time in b&w already, but even more so colored... gets me every time. 10 stars for the art.

I'm not much a fan of the secret they're both keeping, as I always prefer honest relationships. However, the secret wasn't harming them in volume 1, so I was fine it first. But that kept crumbling down in volume 2, as expected.

Oftentimes the plot kept being repeated a lot, which was too much for me sometimes. Felt like the mangaka needed to fill pages desperately or forgot that she already wrote that in the previous page/chapter. E.g. Nao keeps saying how much it's her dream to act with Haruka together and Haruka keeps mentioning how she'll never act again. It's pretty annoying, but at the same time I also get it. Kind of? Sometimes we also repeat things too many times in our heads, either because we hate our decision, or we love it, or we're disappointed...

All I really wanted to do, was just to go into the book and make them talk to each other. I completely understand why both sides weren't ready to spill their tea, I've been kinda in both situations myself and know how hard it is. But I also know how bad it ends when you choose not to talk and keep it inside, until time reaches you and the truth somehow comes to light, or you grow apart because the lies built a distance between you...
So, just talk.

It just the drama part (dramatic, not the theatre stuff) that I didn't like much, but overall it was good. I did relate to a lot of things, especially from Haruka's side.

I also liked the epilogue.

And the full-color is so amazing. Some really nice panels in there.
