Meet Rio: a callous orphaned boy living in the slums. At only 7-years-old, he realizes he's actually the reincarnation of Haruto Amakawa, a Japanese university student with a tragic past. While still reeling from this shocking epiphany, Rio also comes to learn that he possesses extremely potent magical abilities and uses his new powers to solve the kidnapping case of a little girl. His good deed is acknowledged, and he's rewarded by being enrolled into... a prestigious academy for noble children...?

For isekai harem fanatic this is very entertaining and enjoyable however after a while the excitement slowly lessens as the same things happen over and over again with similar setups. That's how I would describe it but it's not 100% true.
Best part about this novel is that there's multiple plots going at the same time, something is always happening and there's something to look forward to. That together with the isekai/fantasy setup makes this very enjoyable and I can praise this highly as isekai. The story develops rather fast too.
However there're some obvious flaws in my opinion. The worst part about the novel is the
...
characters. There are way too many copy paste characters which make me less interested in their actions. Well they're kind of side characters so it wouldn't be as big of a deal unless every girl in the main characters harem was also pretty much the same personality only exception being their individual circumstances.
The effect of this is how most of the conversations are similiar and almost all of dialogue ends with "she blushes" which helps the reader to get to know the characters, but it's definitely not the best way to go about it.
The other thing I find lacking is the world building. Don't get me wrong I really like the action scenes but it sometimes feels like there's nothing else motivating the story except battle scenes.
I wanted to know more about magic and adventuring and the way people learn it. Practicing and learning really wasn't showed anywhere for more than one or two paragraphs. I wanted to read about the growth of Rio as a person between his ages of 7-12. Not just get the finished product where he is strong.
At the start I read this for 6 hours a day easily but now on 14 volume I'm starting to get a bit bored. I'm surely gonna read this to the end but still I'm a little let down.
I would recommend this to someone who likes the idea of powerful harem protagonist and action. I personally massively enjoyed the time reading but I can't ignore some of the faults in it. By not reading this one would miss some good comfort isekai/fantasy/harem but other than that it's not something exceptional. Would recommend to about 15% of people to give it a shot.

I really like this series and out of all the anime and series I watched so far I really like seirei gensouki.
My favorite novel is 4 and the start of the series is amazing so hopefully the author Yuri can keep make more novels
I also liked how the anime was made and how the characters look
I mostly try to continue this series when I have a lot of free time.
The story is 10/10 and I love how Rio is always on an adventure
What made me like this series even more was when Rio left the kingdom.
The characters are 10/10 while there are some characters that
...
are not made well they still work in terms of the story and I hope they don't get in the way of Rio's adventures.
The harem is really good and a lot of plot twists
I also really like the fights too.
Spoiler: Spirit arts are the best and something new that makes his adventure way better.

Seirei Gensouki gets off to a great start. The first three volumes are fairly interesting and get the series off to a decent start. Near the end of those volumes, though, everything basically stops. Half of the writing becomes people apologizing to each other just continuously. As of volume 8, it seems like an even greater proportion of the writing is just formalities and apologies.
Any character with an ego is portrayed as a bad guy, which means that no characters that you're meant to care about have any personality to speak of. This is typical for an isekai protagonist, but usually the characters around
...
the protagonist are interesting to make up for it. That is not the case here. Every character feels exactly the same as every other character: sad, flat, and romantically interested in the protagonist.
The art is generic as hell. I often can't even tell which character is which in the art, as they all look basically the same. That wouldn't be so much of a problem if every piece of art wasn't just a group of characters standing around.
The story starts with a goal, then loses sight of it very quickly. It feels like a slough to read through the most recently-published volumes because it just doesn't go anywhere.
I recommend the first volume, but any more than that is not going to improve your view on the series.
