Heya, just an avid, long time watcher & reader who enjoys this medium. I can go pretty broad with it taste, but if I had to choose favorites I would say Action, Adventure, Slice of Life, Sci-fi, Fantasy, Psychological, Thriller's & Mecha (Man, I just love robots).
Again, nowadays though I am pretty open to a majority of genre's and themes as long as I'm interested in it! Don't also put stuff on my dropped list because why would I remind myself of those things I didn't want to finish.

Half of my ratings are based on personal preferences and most importantly enjoyment. Other half based on an invisible technical rating of quality on the more critical side that makes sense in my brain. But let's be real, our list themselves is for ourselves. Obvious statement is obvious but a reminder never the less that is a important reminder. Who cares what others think and who are you trying to impress? Exactly.Your enjoyment is #1. TLDR; less forcing and more exploring.

That also goes with opinions and takes with media you may like or dislike. Fine and completely valid to have them and to share those thoughts, but lets not be over bearing with them shall we? As in not completely shut down someone else's fun or enjoyment or vise versa. Simply move on to things you like and leave it at that!
