I didn't really READ manga for the longest time; it's kind of a pain-in-the-ass medium to get into.
You either need the physical books, or a site that can do two-page online spreads, otherwise it's inauthentic. Beyond that, several manga kind of struggle on the readability front where page flow is terrible and it's hard to tell characters apart. Plus, the addition of color and audio really attracted me more to anime. I do plan to get more into manga in the future but it's a bit more of a struggle personally despite the speed being faster. For manhwa though I did get into a few of those during work downtime due to the ease of being able to read them on phones.
