I can't remember if she's Yuuya's creator or Blitz's creator. My memory is awful. Either way, she's super cool. Magane scares me and I'm surprised you have her in your favorites. Cool pick for a favorite.
And I was shocked to learn that the creator of Re: Creators also made Black Lagoon. That legitimately surprised me. I wouldn't have known if I didn't look it up. Very far removed from Black Lagoon.
I think Oswald has been around for a while now. Since XI I believe. And yes, I agree. I wish the mainline games would acknowledge some of the lore within the KOF mangas. Sometimes they do with Yuki (Kyo's girlfriend), for example. But that's a rare exception. She was in '94, '97, and I think 15? Can't remember.
I would've never have thought in a million years that I would see Sylvie Paula Paula in someone's favorites. Awesome. She's great. Especially after learning her backstory in the KOF XIV manga.
Oh, you wouldn't need to worry about me being a threat! I don't lab or practice combos since I only play fighting games casually and tend to stick with the classics, haha.
Thank you so much for providing the link to your video! It was a fun watch and I agree on all points! Hopefully the AoF gang will be done justice in future media, especially since the fourth entry is apparently in the works! I have a decent amount of SNK fighters on Steam, so feel free to hit me up if you ever want to run some games!
You're a legend for watching and reviewing as many fighting-game anime adaptations as you have! The Art of Fighting review in particular was really fun to read, but I fully agree with how painful that one is to watch when it butchers such great source material. Ryo, Robert, and the rest of the AoF gang did not deserve such dreadful treatment!
With a manga, as with a book, you have to be more engaged with the material. I've noticed I doze off into some other thoughts when I watch anime. I really hate it when that happens. I have like 1200 I want to watch still, why? I should probably read the manga, it'll probably be quicker.
But there's an element anime has that is so appealing to me, especially old anime. I don't know. Still, I hate it when they're overly long...
I guess the manga, while still long, isn't unmanageable. I've already read the original three parts of Baki the Grappler, which were about 1000 chapters, four parts of JoJo, also about that length, and parts of Ippo, also absurdly long.
