Even though I didn't watch it, I enjoyed your Ergo Proxy review, I liked the points you mentioned and how you treated the elements you used as a criterion, I really liked it
If I missed a writing standard, I'm sorry, English is not my native language
haha, well I can't blame you. There are some anime I wish I hadn't seen, this way I could've saved some of the time that I wasted in watching something I could've enjoyed, let alone rewatching them lol And thanks for the hint, it seems that I won't have a difficult time with Ergo Proxy as I imagined.
I have spoken to many Evangelion fans, but no one has made me think that I may change my mind about it as you did. Although you did not make any argument except that you relied on the factor of the past and nostalgia. But I felt what you're trying to say, and I am a little jealous, because I know I would have enjoyed it if I had seen it at the same age you have. As for my disliking of Evangelion, most of it is due to the characters, to be more specific, Asuka and Shinji. I will not overwhelm you, as you already know the reason I hate them. But I will not deny that Evangelion and the movie also have a few standout moments(besides the action), in addition to Misato, the only character who I really loved.
anyways, glad that you still love it after all these years, and honestly interesting experience, made me feel like I was not born in the right time lol
And btw, hope you're enjoying Vinland Saga, It's my favorite show of 2019 and all the time. would like to hear your thoughts ^^ Although it doesn't have cute girls :P
I see, thanks for the answer ^^ And no, I hated Serial Experiments Lain on the first watch and gave it a 1. Then I've read a long ass review that explains every detail about the show and rewatched it. Then I liked it. Also, I'm a little bit surprised, cause you seemed to love Evangelion! That's way more complicated than Lain IMO!
Hey, I know 12 years have passed, but I read your Ergo Proxy review and wanted to say, thanks for the warning. have you watched it again by the way? If you have, then have any of your opinions changed? and should I give it a try?
Ah apologies for bit of a late response but personally I thought you were fine you have your own opinions, I just think I personally indulge in psychological anime like theres no tomorrow.
That's pretty cool I actually moved to Va about 4-5 years ago as well. I came from Hawaii but before that I think I took a stop in Nashville. Before traveling I actually stayed in New Jersey (Jersey City I believe) and since it was really close to NY i would go there and just walk around. Fairfax is definitely traffic heavy. Have you been to Tysons Corner Mall by chance? I practically lived there since I went all the time.
As for where I've been in Europe so far uhh : France, Italy, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scottland, England, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Germany, (I think I went to Poland?), Austria, Spain, and Portugal if I'm not missing any. Right now I'm staying in France again before I leave for Asia. The first place in Asia I'll be going to is Bangkok Thailand, Vietnam, after that I'm a bit unsure but maybe Malaysia? This is more my dad planning the trip if I'm being honest.
Where in the UK did you go? I actually enjoyed Northern Ireland and England. I would be happy to go again.
I agree that is pretty funny, to be honest I rarely hear about anyone having the same birthday as mine or like a day away from it
also what anime are you watching and what are your thoughts on them?
To be quite honest I wasn't gonna comment anything but I got here from your Ergo Proxy review and I saw you're in Richmond VA? That's so coincidental I just moved away from the Fairfax area
Well, rarely do I see a positive reply XD I do take an unconditioned feeling of happiness from people that can say they are happy regardless of reality and the world. It's one of the things that I for some reason have forgotten how to do. If others can do it, it might bring me a bit of joy at the end of the day. Your comment made me smile :)
