My Rating System
First thing's first, I rate based solely on enjoyment, and my enjoyment is based largely on story, characters and humor (where applicable). Secondly, my rating system doesn't generally apply in the same way to short-form anime, specials, or one-episode series.
11/10:
JOJO's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable.
10/10:
Masterpiece. I loved every single moment from start to finish.
9/10:
Excellent. Basically the same as an 8/10 but better.
8/10:
Great. Usually a plot-driven anime where every episode progresses the plot or a comedy where every single joke landed.
Shows with this score or higher are ones I'd describe as favorites.
I could probably watch/read anything with this rating or higher again within a year and still enjoy it as much as the first time
7/10:
Good. I'd probably watch it again, even if not for a while. Everything with this rating or higher are works that I would personally recommend.
6/10:
Above-average. I liked it, but I probably won't ever watch it again. The good aspects of series with this score or above outweighed the bad aspects.
5/10:
Average. I didn't dislike it, but I could've gone my whole life without having watched/read it and nothing would change. The bad and good aspects of series with this score were fairly balanced, IMO.
4/10:
Below-average. Well, at-least I was never bored... The bad aspects of series with this score or below may or may not have outweighed the good aspects, but I wouldn't exactly say I hated shows with this rating.
3/10:
Bad. They had a redeeming factor such as an interesting idea, a single good episode or two, or a character I liked. Shows with this score or lower are ones I'd describe as least-favorites. If I predict a series would earn this score or lower (supposing I theoretically completed it) I drop it on the spot.
2/10:
Awful. I was bored throughout the entire runtime. Basically the same as 3/10 but without any redeeming qualities.
1/10:
Abominable. I wanted an entry with this rating to be over after only enduring a few mere minutes/pages. Truly the lowest scum in history, and what they owe cannot be repaid with money.
