That's actually what I did too! I didn't watch a ton of the anime growing up... I only got into Pokemon and went back and saw it start to (almost) finish as an adult. All in all, Diamond and Pearl is a pretty high point. I really think it's the best region after the Kalos seasons. Black and White not so much sadly...
Pokemon Best Wishes! - 84 episodes
Pokemon Best Wishes! Season 2 - 24 episodes
Pokemon Best Wishes! Season 2: Episode N - 14 episodes
Pokemon Best Wishes! Season 2: Decolora Adventure - 20 episodes
not counting movies, specials, and OVAs.
In total, 142 episodes, that's equivalent to three years of anime airing, and considering it's not a good season, rather weak, and Decolora Adventure is the worst of all the sagas and seasons, I think it took me a while.
Anyway, I'm going at my own pace. I might watch 7 episodes in one week, but only 1 in the next 3.
I usually post every episode I watch, commenting on anything related to the episode, and looking at the post for episode number one of Best Wishes. The date is

The date of the last post, that is, episode 20 of Decolora Adventure.
I had seen a lot of the first season, and a few more from other seasons, but out of order.
The year I started to watch Sun & Moon (2016), I decided to watch it all and in order, so I started with the original too. It had two timelines: one was the TV series of weekly episodes that ran year by year, and the other was the original series and its sequels. And here I am 9 years later, with Pokรฉmon (2023) on TV and Pokรฉmon X&Z to start in October. A crazy!
Welcome!!!
About the Pokemon Series, I still have one more saga to watch, the entire Pokemon X&Z series.
I'm also missing some OVAs, specials, and other things from the internet rather than TV.
I'll start watching the saga in the fall of 2025. I finished Pokemon Best Wishes a few days ago, and it's taken me a year and a half to watch it all, so I'm a bit overwhelmed. ๐ Image
