I also didn't really care for the movie that much either. for me the best part of Saekano is watching a modern otaku-centric series play with the archetypes and tropes in a way that's exceptionally forward-thinking, but also doesn't mind showcasing some fanservice.
Megumi kinda grew on me towards the end, but I still don't what she represents. I will always remain an Eriri guy (tsundere forever!!!)
btw I'd recommend checking out Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu at some point. it's super underrated and a fun companion to Saekano. It's also about characters in a school club making galge with some great meta humor.
yo no worries, I appreciate the re-friend! I remember we talked about game collections but I never ended up showing mine, I should send some photos, I already have my anime collection on my profile
that's good to hear. the big question is the ending, which could honestly be a dealbreaker for me depending on how it's handled. regardless, hopefully you enjoy the read (・ω・)b
How are you liking the final stretch of the KamiNomi manga? I fell off because it wasn't as fun after a certain point, and I've been procrastinating finishing it for years ww
I was actually planning to write a blog about magical kanan's anime and hentai series, since there might be an funny story to tell there. though if you are interested in mahou shoujo parody anime then it might be worth watching at some point. I'm only 4eps in but there was already an ep set in Akihabara~
btw another good otaku-oriented mahou shoujo parody is Kaitou Tenshi Twin Angel- the OVA and TV series are actually really fun if you like parody anime. the music in that franchise is also produced by members of ave;new, who also had an ADHD denpa music project called あべにゅうぷろじぇくと if you're into that kinda stuff.
I was planning to eventually attempt to watch every anime made in my birth year, so yeah, it's something I've sort of had my eye on, and the fact that you liked it so much is a great sign imo
