Oh yeah? that's a wild collab. I think I'm into that. Especially because the anime share voice actresses. Though Nanoha only sing in OP/ED... I'll be looking out for it now. That said, S4 and S5 are well worth watching. Maybe I'm more of a fanboy because I have been into ancient history and mythology since I was a kid.
...though I doubt they were singing in planetary-scale battles then... but I don't KNOW they weren't, haha. I particularly enjoyed S5 of Symphogear. S3 is favorite, but S5 brings back some good shit.
I have no idea how people didn't end up liking the anime. I think it's one of the best CGDCT series ever created, but people tend to do that with that genre from what i've seen. it reminds me of the reception kill me baby got (which you didn't like apparently :( ), people slammed that anime but personally I thought it was really funny and good.
and are there really no full translations of the manga? not even fan made? I suppose it isn't too impossible since as far as I know, the manga for kill me baby has literally NEVER been translated into english either officially or unofficially.
It's weird, when Part 2 started, I had no idea where it was heading. Fast forward to when I dropped it, and I still had no idea where it was heading. However, I'm still excited for the anime since it'll adapt the best arc of the manga (International Assassins arc), and we'll probably get an announcement for the next season/movie after it.
So hey, did you finish watching Symphogear yet? it's hard to rival Season 3 - but ...I honestly have watched them all as much as 4 times by now, and they get better for me on every re-watch. Season 4 and 5 are both pretty wild, so if you haven't, I absolutely want you to. It's in your own best interests, haha.
I don't know if they rival S3 - but they're on par at the very least.
They're both fun-filled and the plot toward the end, if you're into things like ancient history / mythology / texts, is fantastic. How many anime have the (*I went back and censored this so it wouldn't be a spoiler, cuz I looked at your list after commenting and don't want to spoil it*) in them? I only know of one, but there might be some others. I love the direction the plot headed, though. There's some fantastic moments in every season, even Season 2, the one I like the least, due to the boring "boss".
AXZ and XV are quite interesting seasons anyway, XV in particular brings some concepts together that bring in some past events and give them context that I particularly liked - like exactly what Gungnir is/was and why it matters, and why Hibiki can kill gods and why Miku remains a central character despite doing very little. As far as your list shows, you've seen at least to where Hibiki is able to kill beings infused with "divine power" when no one else can harm them.
The songs aren't QUITE as good as the 3rd season, but there's also the return of a ...character... that you will probably enjoy... in a way that doesn't seem cheap - it was obviously planned well in advance... (I refuse to say more) but there are a few songs that are pretty fun anyway... and of course some repeats. Some of them still get me into it, tho. I'm considering watching a couple random episodes right now, since I started ranting about them...
The start is a bit wonky, but that's mostly due to the CGI wolves. But in all honesty, that didn't hamper my enjoyment at all (that's why I've stuck by the anime all these years). The VA work is great, can't imagine Ogata without Kenjiro Tsuda's unique voice. The same goes with Hijikata and Tsurumi.
Golden Kamuy Final Season has been great so far. Recent episodes had some of the most haunting imagery I've seen so far in the series, and that's saying something. The road to the ending has been amazing so far, but I feel like I'm missing out on some things since I heard it skipped some things from the manga, so I'm definitely looking forward to picking it back up after the end of the season. It's impressive how it has introduced an ensemble cast of characters throughout the seasons, and it finally feels like it's reached a climactic arc where everyone is involved. It makes me a bit anxious thinking some of these characters might not make it out alive this season, and having them clash against each other makes me a bit uneasy since I love these guys: Koito, Tsukishima, Sugimoto, Shiraishi, Kikuta, Ogata, etc. (Except Usami, I hate his guts! But that means he's a good character.)
