As a fan of YUI's from the first release (it was the first single I bought when I was in Japan), this album did not disappoint. I've said it before - YUI is able to say in song what some of us cannot say in words.

Closing Thoughts: YUI doesn't disappoint. I haven't met a track of hers I haven't liked. This album, while with shortcomings, still presents a solid third album. It's still YUI, and while song risks would have been nice, the overall effect is an album that touches the youth inside all of us, unsure and afraid. Her lyrics are able to help our inner youth because they ring true. Although most fans like the more rock oriented sound, I am a fan of YUI's mellow sound, and hope she doesn't lose it in the future.

I was very excited about this release when I found the track Her Diamonds on iTunes, and could not stop listening to the song. The album was a wonderful breath of fresh air around the Boom Boom Pow's and Seeking Amy's of the radio.

Closing Thoughts: As a big fan of Thomas' first album and earlier work with Matchbox Twenty, I have to say that this album is a big step away from all of that. However, Thomas goes into this change with grace, and it's a welcome new invention of his music. Some tracks may have left something to be desired, but the overall effect was completely worth the wait for the album. I would have personally switched the singles released with some of the better tracks on the album, but it doesn't change the opinion of the album. This is one of the most well-crafted albums released in 2009, and I am very happy with the result. I can't wait to hear the next one, Mr. Thomas.
