Well, as Megs so brilliantly put it, we've completed Season One (aka Apocalypse Nowish-- 👁 Image now_ish) of the most amazing roleplaying story I myself have ever read or had the privilege of being a part of. Change being inevitable, we are all happy and excited to be starting this new chapter, and as mods, would like to thank all of you for starting it with us.
So, welcome to Season Two - Nowhere Land.
We're going to hold off on starting immediately with things, as half of our cast (including the entire mod team) is or will soon be out of town or extremely busy with real life in the next week or so. The very first storyline of the new Season, "Golden Slumbers" (again, thanks to Megs) will begin with a post from Fred. Once Fred is posted, then everyone else can feel free to get started.
All of our characters (with the exception of Tara) will be awakening in Pylea, out of doors and completely disoriented. They'll be tired, and pretty beaten up, and most importantly, have no idea of how they got where they are, and very sketchy on the details of the battle they've just somehow escaped. If you'd like a little suggestion on what/how much of the battle your character should recall, please give me or Jo an email or IM.
As for what your character is going to remember now that they're under the influence of the Window of Orlon, check this page, The History of the World (Revised). You're welcome to fill in the specifics and details for your own character within those outlines. A few major points:
--All characters living at the time of the battle who have not ended up in Pylea will, as far as anyone knows (with one exception), have never existed. For example, Wesley was Buffy's watcher since she moved to Sunnydale, and left after Graduation for L.A. The Master sired Angelus, who later sired Spike. etc. --Kennedy was Chosen as the new Slayer at Faith's death, and has been since.
Things to know about Pylea: --The situation of the government is somewhat unstable. Although the humans have, on paper, taken over, they are inexperienced at ruling, even with a democracy. --Enemies of the humans, supported by the Senior Partners, have not tried a coup-- rather, they've installed human-looking spies into many positions of leadership in the new government. --The general demonic populace is unhappy with the change, but is mostly concerned with surviving. --Former soldiers of the old rulers roam the countryside as groups of bandits, hunting humans and raiding small farms or gatherings of 'cows'. --The Window of Orlon's influence includes Pylea, so no one there remembers Krevlorneswath of the Deathwok Clan, either.
Also, remember that if your character was still under the Truth Spell at the end of Season One, they still are (of course, they can't violate the Window of Orlon's changes, even with the spell).
That should be it for now. Give me, Jo or Megs a yell if you've got any questions or comments.
And again, welcome to the next big thing.
