Do you have a bunch of cheap flower vases that came with the beautiful flowers your significant other gets you every so often? What about flea market glass dishes that you don't really need or use anymore. Old glass candlesticks, platters, votive cups, lamp bases or jelly jars? Any color, size or shape is awesome. Just let me know how much you have and if it's worth it, I'll pay shipping or if you're here in the DFW area I'll come get them.  I'm doing a project and don't want to spend too much on it!

The girls and I have to make every cent count most of the time, so I was really glad when a friend here at work pointed me to this site:  www.angelfoodministries.com .

They buy food in bulk, and distribute it across the country.  Every month, they put a new menu up (the standard menu is $25, but they'll have add-ons for $10 to $15 extra.  You can order as many as you like).  I've been doing this for a couple months now, and it really does help with the food budget.

Is anyone interested in taking over management of this community? Obviously, I'm not very good at keeping up with it, and what's more, I'll be moving out of Texas (and the country) in August. I'd love to have someone take over, especially someone with the time/energy to make it all it could be. Let me know!

Low-cost dental care in San Antonio.

Low-cost or free dental care in the rest of Texas.

Low-cost or free reproductive health services for teens in Houston.

San Antonio free medical clinic (run by students)

Dallas-area free/low-cost medical services.

I'll list more as I find them. Also, I get my Angel Food Ministries box this weekend; I'll let everyone know how much propaganda was included in the box.

Just a few ideas for help with your groceries this month.

For fresh veggies, food co-ops can be an awesome source. (Most have programs that let you pay $25 and you get a huge box of whatever is in season from local farms).

Scroll down for Texas co-ops.

If you don't mind the religious spin, Angel Food Ministries sells a huge amount of groceries for $25. There are participating churches all over Texas.

Does anyone know of any scratch and dent/ salvage grocery stores in Houston?
