The time of these flowers has already passed; the last hard rain took the last of the blossoms from their branches and scattered them all around the grass like a thin layer of snow.  It was a sad day for me.  BUT - this was my favorite part of this spring.  I've been in Pennsylvania since January, which is when I discovered these in the side yard of the house where I am staying.  I waited impatiently for them to bloom, and when they finally did I was in heaven.  I stared at them for weeks on end and took a ridiculous amount of pictures.

My chamomile finally sprouted! I can hardly believe it. I am now on my fifth packet (in the hostory of my life, I mean) of chamomile seeds, and this is the first time I've gotten more than one sprout that lasted for more than three days. I don't think I did anything differently, but I guess it doesn't matter. Now hopefully it will actually make it to adulthood. Sheesh, I thought I was losing my touch...

I've just started this community, and my intention is to have a good gardening circle with whom I can share and ask advice about...GARDENING. I checked out a couple of other gardening communities, and frankly they seemed to fall short for one reason or another; too much politics, too much cooking advice, too many hipsters (though I personally don't have anything against hipsters). This community is simply meant to share the love of all things green, flowering, fruiting, or rooted in general. :)

Anyhoo, hopefully a few of you will take interest and join me here to listen to the grass grow. Shhhh....
