| Hey everyone. Right now I'm using a stylesheet created for Opal (Libra OSWD) and I completely love it - except for one minor detail that seems to stretch to the base stylesheet of Libra. If friends on my reading list post images or youtube videos the layout stretches and breaks. Is there some kind of thing I can add to the core style that would eliminate this problem? Thanks for any and all help! P.S. I've tried looking here and there for about a week and couldn't find anything, hence the asking. Finally. I'm so slow, haha OH AND WHILE I'M HERE, ever since LJ introduced custom userheads my overrides for those have broken. Is there a generic link I can stick in there to keep LJ from trying to revert to the custom userheads and ... failing, and breaking everything? Answered! | |

| I'm fairly certain what I want to do is impossible. But I figure I'll be no worse off for asking. The layout I'm using is Minimalism. When I go into the customization section, there's a placed for editing the text for "Leave a comment" on my journal and my friends' page. However, there's no place to edit "comments left". So right now, my journal says "2 comments | Hit a homerun". I'd prefer it to say "2 homeruns | Hit a homerun". Normally, this should be in the customization section. So I was wondering if I just missed it, or if there was coding I could put in the CSS section (I have a plus account, so layers is not an option). Thanks in advance! ~ ๐ Image qtshorty1625 | |

Mar 5th, 2010 - 02:45 am | I'm using the component layout. My layer's here. layer#3477786I'm using the three column layout and for the life of me I can't figure out how (or if it's even possible) to split up the print free text function to have a part on each side. The closest thing that I've been able to find was this but when I try to put it into my code it gives me errors. Want I want to do is have the random quotes section on the left and the control panel on the right. Anyone have any ideas? | |

| Okay, these questions may sound kind of dumb, but this my first time working with CCS. I'm editing this style based off of Flexible Squares, and what I've done so far can be seen at my journal, which is what I am editing. Anyways, five questions: 1. That bar at the top, where it says "You are viewing _____'s journal"- what is it called? Also, how can I change the colors of it in CCS where I retain the gradient effect? I've done it using LJ's editor before and I liked the effect. 2. How can I change the little user symbol (you know, the one with the bald white head and blue shoulders) into my own image? And is there any technical specs I need to know so I don't attempt to use an image that doesn't work? 3. My previous style (Three Columns is what I believe the name was) had it so that next to the person's username was their "name", in both entries and comments. My current one does not. Is there an override I can use so that the names show up in this one? 4. Currently, my comment space looks like this. Is there any way to change it so that the comments are in a yellow box, similar to my entries? 5. Is there an override so I get Link/Edit/Memories/Tell a Friend/Track Comments links? | |

| I'm one of the mods of ๐ Image phoenixfndrpg. And I had a few questions about tweaking a few things in our S2FlexiSquares layout. [1]Can I include a picture in my links list next to my link? (Example: [image] Link) [2] Is there a way I can add another box to my sidebar? Its been awhile since I fussed with FlexiSquares. I'm functional in HTML and CSS. Feel free to point me to any tutorials/guides/how tos. Thanks for you help ahead of time. | |

| Hello! Is there any member who can tell me if there's a way for me to display the tags for my journal/community on the front page while using Generator in S2? I'd be happy with a cloud or a list, in a sidebar or in a box/section under the links at the top. Not picky. Thanks in advance! | |

| I'm using a customised version of Opal. My archive page is kind of messed up. I think what I need to do is set the width of the calactitem class in the CSS, but when I do that it messes up the sidebar calendar. It says here that as a perm user I should be able to define a new class for one or the other, so how do I do that? I'm using ๐ Image kunzite1's version of ๐ Image haffling's code, btw. Link to the layer. | |

| I have googled and searched LJ high and low -- I could SWEAR I saw something somewhere once about adding a sidebar to the generator layout! Is this completely not possible? If it IS possible, could you please point me to the tutorial or let me know what the code is that I need to add to my theme layer?
Thank you! :D | |
