HETE 1
NASA’s HETE 1 (High Energy Transient Explorer 1) mission was to have been an international mission to carry out the first multiwavelength study of gamma-ray bursts using ultraviolet, X-ray, and gamma-ray instruments. The launch vehicle’s upper stage failed to release the satellite, which lost all power several days after launch.
