A Novel Friendly Jamming Scheme in Industrial Crowdsensing Networks against Eavesdropping Attack

Abstract: Eavesdropping attack is one of the most serious threats in industrial crowdsensing networks. In this paper, we propose a novel anti-eavesdropping scheme by introducing friendly jammers to an industrial crowdsensing network. In particular, we establish a theoretical framework considering both the probability of eavesdropping attacks and the probability of successful transmission to evaluate the effectiveness of our scheme. Our framework takes into account various channel conditions such as path loss, Rayleigh f… Show more

β€œβ€¦β€’ Security assurance in data acquisition. The proliferation of wireless connections in manufacturing industry results in the challenges in security assurance during data acquisition because of the openness of wireless medium susceptible to malicious attacks like passive eavesdropping attacks [79]. The typical countermeasure is to apply encryption schemes in wireless networks [80].…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

β€œβ€¦A. Case I: Beamforming-assisted Fri-jam Firstly, we introduce a scheme integrated with beamforming technique firstly introduced in [80]. In particular, we consider that the medical center is surrounded by a finite circular region as shown in Figure 6(a).…”

β€œβ€¦However, eavesdropping is difficult to identify because of abnormality during transmission. Li et al [55] proposed an interesting anti-eavesdropping scheme by friendly jammers to an industrial crowd-sensing network. Alternatively, message modification is a type of active attack, where an attacker sniffs actual data from the network and pass the modified data to the receiver.…”
