I've noticed many fans of gardening on livejournal but no communities for swapping seeds and small plants! So, here we have one.

I'm not a good babysitter.
Please make sure that what you ship isn't illegal, in terms of being drug related or a no no to ship across state lines. (Some states prohibit certain plants because of threat to ecology, such as watersprite, kudzu, etc.)If you do something like that, I'm formally stating here that myself, other listmembers nor LJ are not to be held responsible! Along with that, if you get something you hadn't bargained for (disease on live plants, bad seeds, whatever could happen) again, it's the issue of the people involved, not myself, LJ or the other members. As a friend of mine once said, don't come looking to me for damages, I'm likely to give you some!
This isn't a formally set up affair, where person A sends seeds to Person B, whatever, it's mostly for people to network. Just post what you have extras of that are looking for a good home, and what kind of seeds/plants you are looking for. Introductions are encouraged :) This group can also be used for discussions of sprouting, planting, wildcrafting, plant care, etc..all things gardening! Please spread the word, I'm posting to community_promo but not all of we green thumbers are signed up for it!
Currently taking submissions for community icons as well, I will rotate them periodically, probably seasonally.
