The Science Behind The Light
LatchLight keeps you and baby in sleepy-mode
Our light is designed to be close to red on the Kelvin scale to avoid melatonin disruption and has low lumens (brightness) to help parents and babies fall back asleep easily. Unlike other nightlights that spread light in all directions, LatchLight provides directional illumination with a narrow 40-degree angle, preventing it from shining into the eyes of newborns or parents.

LatchLight was intentionally designed with a focused, directional beam, adjustable brightness, and a near-red light spectrum to help minimize melatonin disruption during nighttime feedings and care. Our original version measures in the near-red range on the Kelvin scale and includes a dimmer wheel so parents can adjust the light to their comfort level. We also understand your concerns regarding the price. As a mom-founded startup with a single product, we're still in the early stages of growth and working hard to expand our reach and production volumes. As we grow, we hope to bring LatchLight to even more families. We've recently launched our upgraded LatchLight 2.0, which gives parents the option to toggle between a pure red light and our original near-red light, offering even more flexibility for nighttime use. Seems a little flimsy straight out of the box but works well and helps both baby and momma go back to sleep snoothly

This has been such a lifesaver…. For late night feedings and diaper changes, but also just checking on things. It stays clipped on even when I accidentally fall asleep wearing it, and doesn’t wake the baby when I turn it on and off, even when it’s shining right in her face.

I saw this on a bloggers new mom gift list and I was like wow this is so perfect. I always end up turning on my nightstand light, which is red so not too harsh on the eyes, but I feel like my son stares at it during night time feeds, keeping him up longer. I love that I can just use this to make sure he is latching properly and then I can turn it off when I know he is eating so he doesn't feel distracted (he generally loves looking at lights). Has made overnight feeds so much less stressful!
