You can import your existing WordPress users into the Simple Membership plugin as members. You will be able to select which membership level a user goes into when importing the users.
Do the following steps to import WordPress users into the simple membership plugin.

Step 1 – Download the Addon
Download the free Simple Membership WP User Import addon.
Step 2 – Install the Addon
- Click on the Add New menu under the plugins interface.
- Go to the Uploader tab and upload the simple-membership-wp-user-import.zip file.
- Hit the Install Now button and then activate the addon.
Step 3 – Go to the Settings Interface
Click on the “WP User Import” menu from the Simple Membership plugin’s admin interface.
Step 4 – Import the WP Users
You can import all of your WordPress users into Simple Membership in one go or selectively import users from this addon’s interface. You will get to choose which membership access level your imported user(s) go to and a few other details.
Importing a WP User with Admin Permission
If you want your WordPress admin user to be able to view content protected with Simple membership plugin, then you can do the following:
- Create a special membership level that you will apply to the admin user. You will use this membership level for admin users only.
- You can then give this membership level access to all the content that you are protecting.
- Import your WordPress admin user into simple membership and apply the “special membership level” to that member account.
