Apple Intelligence is an artificial intelligence system developed by Apple Inc.[1] It was first introduced on June 10, 2024, with a partial rollout beginning on October 28, 2024. A full launch is expected in 2025.[2]

[change | change source]On January 17, 2025, Apple removed its AI-generated news alert feature after it produced a false BBC headline.[3][4]
Features
[change | change source]Apple Intelligence includes features such as Genmoji, Image Playground, live translation, writing tools, and ChatGPT integration with Siri.[5][6][7]
Supported languages and countries
[change | change source]On March 31, 2025, support for Chinese (Simplified), English (India), English (Singapore), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese was added with iPadOS 18.4, iOS 18.4, and macOS 15.4.[8]
Apple Intelligence is also available in the European Union.[9][10][11]
It became available in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and South Africa on December 11, 2024.[12]
Supported devices
[change | change source]Apple Intelligence works on the iPhone 15 Pro and later devices running iOS 18.1 or newer. It also supports iPads and Macs with M-series Apple silicon running iPadOS 18.1 and macOS 15.1 or later.
On March 31, 2025, Apple Intelligence became available on Apple Vision Pro running visionOS 2.4 or later, but only in the United States.[13]
