From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Effusion is a way gases get out through small holes in materials.[1] For instance, one may fill a balloon with helium, and later discover that all of the gas has gotten out. Effusion is the opposite of diffusion, as one leaves, while another joins.[1]
