Szombathely (German: Steinamanger) is a city in western Hungary. It is the capital of Vas County. It is located near the border of Austria. About 80,000 people live there. Szombathely is the oldest city in Hungary. It was founded by the Romans in 45 AD. Its Roman name was called Savaria.
