Why do you love aviation?
Aviation has been a part of my life since a young age, starting pilot training at 14 years old and becoming involved in the industry through various means. Being in the air is where I feel happiest and most free, and so I am always chasing that next moment that I can get up in the air. I am also passionate about how aviation connects everything in our world and fascinated by the places it can take you and the people who rely on it.
What is your favourite aircraft and why?
I would have to say the 747, it's just iconic. For me, it has a very special meaning. Just before I decided to become a pilot, I was invited to the cockpit of a British Airways 747-400 after it landed at JFK. I was given the best advice and motivation I could have asked for, and I was gifted all the paperwork from the flight, which I have kept in my flying bag ever since. It serves as a reminder of why I started flying.
