About John Pullen
John Pullen has spent years learning about the airline industry through both frontline work experience and as a writer and editor. He is passionate about learning the business strategies that allow airlines to rise, fall, and compete in a competitve industry.
Why do you love aviation?
Aviation has been a part of my life from a young age. Growing up with a father working in the aviation industry, I was exposed to the magic of flight early on. As I matured, I came to appreciate the dynamic and often challenging landscape of the aviation industry.
What is your favourite aircraft and why?
My favorite aircraft is the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. I have always been a fan of aircraft that disrupt the status quo and propel the industry forward. The Dreamliner helps connect the world comfortably through long, nonstop flights that would otherwise not be feasible for airlines to operate.
What is your industry focus?
While I enjoy most aspects of the airline industry, I find network and route planning to be particularly fascinating. I have spent a long time studying and understanding different strategies airlines employ to connect passengers with different markets.
