About Josh Eyre
Josh is an Aviation Journalist and lifelong aviation enthusiast who's now turning that passion into a career. From watching planes and playing flight simulators at a young age to now sitting in the cockpit, Josh has always been drawn to the world of flight.
Currently training to become a commercial pilot, Josh aims to make aviation interesting and accessible to everyone, whether you're in the industry or simply passionate about aviation.
Now actively building a career in Aviation, Josh is focused on telling stories from inside the aviation world, stories shaped by firsthand experience, curiosity, and a genuine love of all things that fly.
What is your industry focus?
My primary focus is on commercial aviation, where I enjoy exploring various aspects, including airlines, aircraft, pilot training, and industry trends. But I’m passionate about all things aviation, whether it’s historic planes, military jets, or the latest aerospace tech. No matter the topic, I love sharing stories that bring the whole aviation world to life.
What is your favourite aircraft and why?
My all-time favourite has to be Concorde. It was fast, futuristic, and deemed almost physically and technologically impossible at its inception.
In terms of current aircraft, I’ve got a real soft spot for the 737. It might not break the sound barrier, but it’s a solid, reliable workhorse.
Why do you love aviation?
I am drawn to aviation because it brings together advanced technology, the excitement of flight, and a strong sense of exploration. I am fascinated by the principles that allow large aircraft to fly, from the way air moves over the wings to how engines generate thrust and pilots manage these forces. Aviation plays a vital role in connecting people and places, while also representing innovation and progress. To me, it is a clear example of how science, technology, and passion come together in the real world.
