Is This Airline Poised To Join The SkyTeam Alliance?

Remember last year when Air France-KLM announced that it would be acquiring a nearly 20% stake in SAS? Once things became clear that the deal would go through, it was announced that the Scandinavian carrier would be hopping from Star Alliance to SkyTeam overnight - from August 31st to September 1st 2024. Similarly, with ITA Airways - the jump from SkyTeam to Star Alliance was prompted by Lufthansa Group taking a share of the Italian carrier. And so when it comes to WestJet will it become a SkyTeam member in the future due to its new minority owners?
