Ok fellow Harry Potter fans, listen up! October 26-28 the Saint Louis Area Wizards (SLAW) is putting on the Wrockstock Spooktacular 2007! It'll be an awesome weekend full of Wizard Rock bands such as The Remus Lupins, Draco and the Malfoys, and more as well as lots of fun wizard activities. It's all fit for the whole family and they're only selling 300 tickets, so if you want to go you'd better check it out now because tickets are only being sold until September 1st! It's a bit of a chore to get your tickets and make reservations, but it's sure to be worth it. My friends and I have our tickets and reservations and are so excited to go I'm really hoping that we'll get to meet other awesome HP fans from the area, so get over to their website to learn more and get your tickets today!

ST. LOUIS BOARD MEETING CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER
Due to inclement weather the Board of Education has cancelled its meeting tonight at Carr Lane VPA Middle School. The Board will announce when the next meeting will take place at a later date.
I live close to Forest Park and am looking for daycare for my son, who will turn two in September.
For a few months earlier, I would like him to be in a home-daycare (number of children less than 10 or fewer), after which I hope to put him in a center. The problem is, I can't seem to find a list of licensed home day cares close (within 5-6 miles) from our home. I have tried www.childcarestl.org but it comes up very few (my search included University city and Clayton).
Any other resources through which I can shop around for a home based day care?
I just thought I would pass along some information to everyone in the community. My friend 👁 Image
rhodesy and I have been going to this FABULOUS club in Downtown every Friday night and having a blast! It's so much fun we can't wait for Friday each week!! The music is great and they have six video screens so you can watch videos and dance at the same time. The DJ's are friendly and play great music all night long. Oh, and Jeff, one of the bartenders, makes an AMAZING chocolate martini. So if you're looking for a fun night out on Friday, can get a babysitter, and love 80's music, check out That 80's Club.

Local hospital plans booster seat giveaway
08:40 AM CDT on Thursday, August 24, 2006
St. Louis (KMOV) – In an effort to raise awareness regarding Missouri’s new booster seat law, St. Louis Children’s Hospital is offering up 500 free booster seats as part of its “Get on Board with Child Safety” program.
Missouri’s new booster seat law takes effect August 28th and requires children to ride in a booster seat until they are eight years old, or 80 pounds or four feet ten inches tall. Previously, only children under age 4 were required to ride in the seats.
Children’s Hospital is offering up 500 free booster seats to families that pre-register by calling 454-KIDS.
In addition to the free seat, the hospital is offering discounted seats to anyone that requests one.
The seats will be given out an event this weekend. Experts will also be on hand to check vehicles with safety seats to make sure that they are being used correctly. The event happens on Saturday at the lower Muny parking lot in Forest Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
"Grab a blanket, pack a picnic, and bring the kids for a fun movie with the family in Tower Grove Park. Great activities for the children, so come early. Movies start at dusk. Whitaker Theater at the Pool Pavilion. 7:30pm - 10pm. FREE."
My son, 6 1/2 years old, needs a pair of white sweatpants or any white pants in general for his Spring Musical at his school. I have not seen them in the Walmart, Target, nor Kmart stores. I have looked on Ebay, Amazon, and the Target/Walmart/Kmart websites but have found none. Has anyone seen them anywhere in any STL stores? Or would someone have a pair that their boy/girl has outgrown and is ready to pass them on? I did find them at www.fleecefarm.com but they want $14.95!!! I am not spending that much on a pair of sweatpants...much less on a pair of WHITE sweatpants for a six year old boy! :D Any help would be greatly appreciated!
