Federico has a PhD in Language Engineering studying in Italy and Germany. In his role as a Software Architect he helps clients and partners to assess their situation and identify the best option to solve their problem. He is passionate about Language Engineering and he contributes to the community by writing articles, participating on Conference Program Committees, giving presentations and interviewing other key players in this field.

Gabriele Tomassetti

Language Engineer & Data Manager

Gabriele started developing software to make a football management simulation and never stopped, although now he works on more useful software. He loves C# and Kotlin, but he can handle quite a few other languages!

Alessio Stalla

Language Engineering Leader

Alessio designs and builds languages and supporting tools. Most of the time, you can find him crafting textual or projectional editors/IDEs, static analysis tools or model-to-model transformations. Occasionally, he runs around trying to squash strange bugs hidden in legacy codebases. Also, between projects, he writes articles for Strumenta’s blog.

Krisztina Fekecs

Administrative & Executive Assistant

Krisztina manages our administration, accounting and HR operations. Her main objective is to make the teams work and collaboration as organised and focused as possible. She also takes care of the management of company sites.

Martin Azpillaga

Language Engineer

With a background in mathematics, Martin enjoys facing challenging problems. Particularly, creating tools that enhance the productivity of professionals. These include visual programming and testing interfaces for artists, and small useful automations in the healthcare sector. Now, his focus is on refining programming language tools under the philosophy that “Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication”. When away from computers, he likes to go on adventures and be surprised by nature, play with animals, and learn from all kinds of humans. He also improvises on the piano and relaxes with a fine cocktail in the evenings.

Amari Calipso

Language Engineer

Amari is a computer scientist who is very passionate about low level programming and theoretical computer science. She has enjoyed language engineering since she was very young, and has been building transpilers and interpreters for years. She mostly focuses on creating and designing algorithms and tools for developers, ensuring they have a solid base to work on higher level projects.

Tiago Baptista

Language Engineer

Tiago is a software engineer with a master’s degree in computer science who specialized in programming languages and formal methods. He formerly worked as a Full-stack Engineer in the geographical information systems and cybersecurity industries in Portugal, but is now focusing on his true passion: Language Engineering. Still connected to the academia as an invited professor at the University of Minho. In his free time, he enjoys traveling (especially to sunny locations) and keeping his mind and body in shape through exercise.

Mary Louise Stewart

Talent Manager

With a background in journalism and over a decade of experience in language teaching, Mary Louise has always been passionate about connecting with people and helping them grow. Her natural curiosity and knack for building relationships make Talent Management a role where she feels truly at home. Outside of work, you’ll find her on the yoga mat, walking in nature, getting lost in a book, or practicing her French and Spanish.
