Go back to websites you already visited in Safari on Mac
Safari remembers the websites you visited for as long as a year, so you can easily return to them.
See websites you visited
Go to the Safari app 👁 Image
on your Mac.Do any of the following:
See websites you visited in the current window or tab: Click 👁 the Back button
or 👁 the Forward button
in the toolbar.You can also click and hold 👁 the Back button
or 👁 the Forward button
to choose a specific website. If you have a trackpad or mouse that supports gestures, swipe left or right to move through your history one website at a time. See View and customize mouse or trackpad gestures.See a longer list of recently visited websites: Click the History menu.
See all websites in your browsing history: Choose History > Show All History.
See websites from recently closed tabs or windows
Go to the Safari app 👁 Image
on your Mac.Choose History > Recently Closed.
You can also choose History > Reopen Last Closed Tab or History > Reopen Last Closed Window to reopen the last tab or window you closed, or Reopen All Windows from Last Session.
Visit webpages in your Reading List
Go to the Safari app 👁 Image
on your Mac.Click Reading List in the sidebar.
If the sidebar isn’t shown, click 👁 the Sidebar button
in the toolbar.If you don’t see Reading List at the top or bottom of the sidebar, click 👁 the Back button
at the top of the sidebar.
