You can make Google Chrome and Gmail your default apps for web browsing and mail.

Make Chrome your default browser

Important: Make sure you have Google Chrome downloaded and installed on your iPhone or iPad. Download Chrome for iPhones and iPads.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome 👁 Chrome
    .
  2. Tap More 👁 More
    👁 and then
    Settings 👁 Settings
    👁 and then
    Default Browser.
  3. Tap Go to Settings... 👁 and then
    Default Browser App.
  4. Set Chrome as your default browser app.

Make Gmail your default mail app

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, go to your Default Apps settings.
    • To find these settings, you may need to download the latest version of iOS or iPadOS.
  2. Set Gmail as the default mail app. Learn how to change your default apps for features on iPhone and iPad.

Tip: To make these your defaults on your iPhone or iPad, you need iOS version 18.0 or up.
