Run an experiment from an opportunity

Whenever you discover an experiment-eligible opportunity on your "Opportunities" page, you can choose to run an experiment for the recommended variation. Running an experiment lets you compare your original settings against the variation to see which performs better.

How to run an experiment from an opportunity

1. Sign in to your AdSense account.
2. Click Optimization 👁 and then
   Opportunities.
3. Click Run an experiment in the opportunity.

   A new experiment is created on your "Experiments" page.

4. Give your experiment a name.
5. Depending on the type of opportunity, either
   • Review the recommended variation settings.

     or

   • Choose the settings you'd like for the variation.
6. If you'd prefer to manually choose the winner of the experiment, turn off Automatically choose winner?.
7. Click Create.

   Your experiment moves into the "running" state, and we start collecting data.
