How Google Play services can use your body sensors information
When you use the Google Fit app or share fitness data by connecting another app to Google Fit, your fitness data is tied to your Google Account and you can share it with other apps. Google Play services can access body sensors on your Wear OS wearable device or Android phone to support fitness tracking with Google Fit. For example, when Google Play services accesses the heart rate sensor on your watch, it records your heart rate in the background and may sync the info with Google Fit. To turn off body sensor data collection on your Wear OS device:
- On your watch, tap Settings π and then
Apps & notifications π and then
App permissions. - Tap System Apps π and then
Google Play Services π and then
Sensors.
To turn off the connected app or device access to Google Fit:
- Open your deviceβs Settings app.
- Tap Google π and then
Settings for Google apps π and then
Google Fit. - Tap Connected Apps & Devices.
To manage or delete your Google Fit data:
- Open your phoneβs Settings app.
- Tap Google π and then
All services. - Under "Settings for Google apps," tap Google Fit π and then
Manage data.
How Google handles your information
In order to enable some features, Google Play Services may collect and send some information to Google which may include crash logs and diagnostics information for analytics purposes. Any information that Google collects is handled in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
