Understand how to use the Local Inventory app

Important: This service was previously called Pointy, and it's now fully integrated into Google. The Pointy app is now the Local Inventory app.

Add in-store products to Google automatically

Stores with a Business Profile can add in-store products to Google through the Local Inventory app for your point of sale (POS) system. You can use the app with many POS systems, like Clover, Square, and Lightspeed. If the app isn’t available for your system, you can manually add a product.

Use the Local Inventory app with POS systems

  • The app may still be called Pointy on some POS systems. The previous product name was Pointy.
