Understand review scores for local places & businesses
On Google Search and Maps, you can find the following information about local places and businesses:
- Review scores
- Top reviews
- Total number of reviews
All scores are rated on a scale from 1 to 5 stars, with 5 as the highest rating.
How scores are calculated
The review score is the average of all ratings published on Google for that place or business.
Important: After someone leaves a new review, it may take up to 2 weeks to get an updated review score.
How we use reviews from other sites
In some cases, Business Profiles may show customer reviews from other local review sites. These reviews are automatically generated based on information Google gathers from the web.
