Set up Chrome for the first time
Set your default search engine
You can use the address bar to search the web. In some countries, Chrome's default search engine is Google Search. In others, you may be asked to choose your default search engine. You can change it anytime.
👁 Set your default search engine
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, select More 👁 More
👁 and then
Settings. - Select Search engine.
- Under "Search engine," select Change.
- Select a new default search engine.
